Drupal Usability Meeting 2024-02-02

Moving over my suggestion from last week:

I would like to put three issues onto the list. first the issue i've also posted on slack ✨ Differentiate visually dragging with and without hierarchy Needs work (about some word smithing of two titles). second in the context of the field ui i would like to bring up 📌 Refine field descriptions Active . i've created a google sheet a few weeks ago and revisited the issue starting to work on a draft as well as discussed the topic and got some feedback during the last two drupal dojos. And i wanted to revisit ✨ Improve the manage form display page by untwining field widgets that belong to the main content and sidebar Active . We've discussed it already in august, but i've stumbled across 📌 [META] Enable layout builder for form displays, and deprecate field_layout Postponed and noticed that field layout is gonna be deprecated and that parts of it should still go into core 📌 Move Field Layout data model and API directly into \Drupal\Core\Entity\EntityDisplayBase Needs work . that overlaps with the issue to revisit and i think it would make sense to have a coordinated approach.
