I replied for your email.
I have started to port this module for D10, but I plan some significant changes so I need more time. I try push the first version on this week, next week I have more time so I think I can do a release.
I found that the #3135341 issue introduced the problem in 1.4.
There is a quick fix until this won't be fixed. Probably the default option was removed with good reason.
I faced similar problem during I used enumeration prevention modules.

I re-rolled my patch if somebody use it. I have check the MR and it looks promising and it covers my little "fix" as well.
