A patch for an earlier issue ( https://www.drupal.org/project/google_analytics/issues/2955611 ✨ Add support for content groupings Closed: outdated ), that adds content grouping reporting back to GA no longer works due to ga no longer being available. This patch updates that code to use the new gtag object.
Apply the older patch ( https://www.drupal.org/files/issues/2018-03-23/google_analytics_content_... → ), invoke the hook and verify that a JS error is thrown when viewing a page that sends a request to GA.
Apply this patch and verify that the error no longer occurs and the content grouping is reported back to the GA account
