Installation

Goto the List page and enable you new sub-theme.

look it is the best theme if it is without bugs of course...so i wonder why it does not deserve best maintainers? The guy obviously has no time.... it is time to pass the torch to somebody else....i would do it...and even if I have 5 kids...3 jobs I would still have time more than 5 minutes in 2 weeks to check the issue queue..... the theme first page should have written looking for serious maintainer... currently theme is only partially maintained....or occasionally maintained

bloomfelt you made us switch to version 2 then you gave up on that version and switched to version 1 again...what is next?
It is obviously you messed something up and do not bother fixing it.....many people are still stuck with Drupal 9 core

no other module is giving me trouble...only this theme....and it is nothing I could do wrong....it worked fine with drupal 9 and now it is a mess.... how do you expect somebody would fix it if you know the code....you worked on it as you claim and still have no idea what is going on?

that is exactly what I did....put main menu into NAV block...nothing shows up.....
bartik and other theme work fine.....
what is going on with this horrid theme....I even uninstalled both modules and deleted all files for the theme....did fresh install and generated the theme and I get errors....main menu is missing....footer is missing....top block is missing where the admin toolbar module should be show n and the maintanier never helps ....

the maintaners answers questions once per week MAYBE....and even then denises there are any problems wit this theme.....this was an amazing theme and I really don't believe nobody else have enough skills to maintain and properly update this theme

i did....exactly like you wrote....but like i said why is the main menu block not showing the main menu items? the menu is inside but it is empty when I open the site

but I did I installed adaptive theme 1 and at tool
do my files point to at_theme?

I am really confused by this theme, it is the most bug infested module ever...

i generated new subtheme but the main menu is missing and also the top menu where admin toolbad menu is.... so it is a complete mess

does anybody else have problemw with subtheme not being compatible with drupal 10? I get many errors...or did you create a fresh subtheme?

i replaced all reoccurences of nameless tags, there were 4 files affected

so now the theme shows up but the main menu block is not rendering and also the admin toolbar module is not showing dropdown

Switching back to the original Adaptive Theme is not so hard. You can even keep using your AT2 created subtheme if you just create a symlink that directs .../web/theme/contrib/at_theme to .../web/theme/contrib/adaptivetheme/

PS: note that mattbloomfield created this fork because the original theme could not receive updates for a long time due to the original creator being missing.

IS THERE A WAY TO GO INTO CODE AND CHANGE ALL THE LINKS SOMEHOW? SO I DONT NEED TO SIMLINK IT?

because of this theme I have not been able to update my site now for 8 months....
i cant uninstall it.....and switch to adaptive theme 1.0 which is maintained

Download the latest version of AdaptiveTheme from https://www.drupal.org/project/adaptivetheme → .
Backup your site.
Put your site in maintenance mode.
Set Bartik or Olivero as the default theme.
Delete at_theme from the themes directory.
Upload adaptivetheme-8.x-5.2.tar.gz to the themes directory.
Extract the tar.gz file which creates the adaptivetheme directory.
Clear Drupal's caches.
Set your previously created custom theme as the default theme.
Check that everything looks/works as expected.
Delete adaptivetheme-8.x-5.2.tar.gz from the themes directory since it's no longer needed after the adaptivetheme directory is created.
Take the site out of maintenance mode.
Clear Drupal's caches.

What I will do is uninstall

both with uninstall then remove with composer
I will keep the mytheme folder intact
then i will composer require

composer require 'drupal/adaptivetheme:^5.2'
and
composer require 'drupal/at_tool:^2.0'

will this fix the problem? Do i need to do something else? Also i wil switch to another theme meanwhile i am doing this

i have adaptive theme 2, where a user created version 2 because it was not comatible with version 9 and i switched all my sites to adaptive theme 2.0 but now it is abandoned and i cant update my site to 10....I used the upgrade preview module and it shows it will not work

it is horrible how after every update something goes wrong...seems like the drupal is much bigger than WP, I never have any problems with WP...with Drupal 9 all the time especially with Commerce module
