Drupal Usability Meeting 2023-08-11

The group is actively tracking progress on:

Issues brought forward from the previous meeting:

• ✨ [Meta] Appearance page is too long and confusing Active
• ✨ Allow media items to be edited in a modal when using the field widget Postponed with notes:
  • @AaronMcHale: Issue could use some guidance.
    In comment #109 the issue was marked as postponed for needing input from UX, accessibility and media initiative. Apparently there are some outstanding UX/accessibility questions (but I'm not sure what they are). This was echoed in comment #111.
    Comment #144 is asking what is needed to move the issue along (the postponed state seems to be causing some delays/confusion as to how to proceed).
    Perhaps we can at least take a look at what the issue is doing and provide some recommendations/guidance on how it could be implemented.

I would like to add three items to the list:

I would also like to add an issue i've created a while ago in the context of the field ui component: ✨ Improve the manage form display page by untwining field widgets that belong to the main content and sidebar Active might be good to have discussion about the proposed resolution and what other's thoughts are about it in general.

And I've tested something last night in the 11.x branch and i've noticed that the new add new field page is in. In general a great addition but in detail there are a few potential stepping stones. might be good to have a discussion about that as well at some point.

I am going through the still open usability meeting issues from 2023. I think this issue can be set to fixed.
