Make code pass the gitlab pipeline

We should use separate issues for each piece of the pipeline (e.g. phpcs vs cspell)

PHPCS is passing.

Phpcs pipeline is passing and changes looks mergeable hence marking this one RTBC

There is still a bunch of warnings. Let's try to fix these as well so that all pipeline checks are green

@batigolix I have not found any other problems with phpcs, so I have merged the changes.

@batigolix This issue now pertains only to PHPCS, not to the either pipeline stages.
