In D7 making a view of content with entity reference fields has the options of two different kinds of relationships,
1. "Entity Reference: Referenced Entity " and
2. "Entity Reference: Referencing entity"
which are accompanied by clear descriptions of what this means.
In D8 there are options of the form
1. Content referenced from field_x
2. Content using field_x
Without clear descriptions.
I'm guessing that options 1 and 2 between 7 and 8 correspond, but I thought I'd check in this queue, and if I'm correct perhaps this could be a change request that user interface to be better labelled/documented.
