I changed a bit so the pipelines don't fail anymore and the entities from the group relationship also get clones when configured. When this gets released we are able to work on more extensions for this module.
I opened another issue. I was not able to make a branch with 1.1.x in this issue.

I rerolled the patch to 2.0.0.
For now I'm not able to set the branch to 2.0.x and provide a merge request, hope someone else can do it.
It's basically the https://www.drupal.org/project/link_attributes module, extended and added more options to it.
But we already found an issue with the content views where all checkboxes are now replaced with toggles, so removing this selector is not enough and not working. Unfortunately I'm not able to dive deeper into the issue and the selectors to fix this.
I hope this change will do the trick.
