Is there still a need for this in a currently supported version of Drupal?
Since we need more information to move forward with this issue, I am setting the status to Postponed (maintainer needs more info). If we don't receive additional information to help with the issue, it may be closed after three months.

There has been no work on this task for about 11 years and no response to the question made a year ago. It is likely that it is no longer needed or has been implemented. Therefor, closing.
If there is work to do here, then either re-open the issue and add a comment or open a new issue and reference this one.
