As I said on 📌 Make field selection a two-step form Fixed , there is a lot that I would like to clean up in

Tested this on a fresh 11.x install
Applied the MR and went through the steps of creating multiple fields
Everything saved correctly with no issuesMR was a little difficult to read but reviewing after applying much easier.
