Problem/Motivation

Child of 🌱 [11.x] [meta] Release Drupal 11 in 2024 Active . Set and implement the 11.0.0-alpha1 requirements.

Proposed resolution

Release notes: 📌 11.0.0-alpha1 release notes Active

  1. PHP: Require PHP 8.3. 🌱 [11.x] [policy] Require PHP 8.3 for Drupal 11 RTBC
  2. Symfony: Require Symfony 7.0. 📌 Symfony 7 compatibility Active
  3. Other requirements are defined in child issues of 🌱 [11.x] [meta] Set Drupal 11 platform and browser requirements at least six months before the release Active
  4. Database drivers: Update hook_requirements() for the various database drivers and then will remove gitlab jobs for any newly-unsupported database drivers.
  5. Update INSTALL.txt 📌 Update INSTALL.txt and friends with Drupal 11 platform requirements Postponed
  6. Update COPYRIGHT.txt 📌 Use 'present' for end year in COPYRIGHT.txt Fixed
