This patch decorative_image_widget-support-SvgImageWidget-1.0.1.patch works in 1.0.1 for me.
svg_image allow user to upload svg into image field, sadly the decorative option is not supported for that widget
Install svg_image module
allow svg file to be uploaded in an image field
upload an svg into that field
Check if the widget is an instance of FileWidget since both ImageWidget and SvgImageWidget extend it.
