Clicking the "Configure" button within "Manage Display" when editing content type creates a undesirable table layout change

After looking further,
I have made the patch for same and it is working fine as expected.

Issue summary needs to be updated with what is being fixed and how. Not sure I'm seeing any issue.

I can't reproduce this issue following the Testing steps.

@mherchel Are we talking about the format layout shift to the left side when we click on the configure icon?
