This code should not have been in the 1.5 release.
With this hook active you cannot have an exposed search form in a block on the homepage that brings you to the search results page.

I reverted this, sorry for the trouble, definately not going to put this back in until it's proven to not cause issues again.

Perhaps this may help, check if you have enabled option for the view "Preserve facets while using filters" under VIEWS > Other -> Query Settings?
