Invalid path error message is displayed three times in link widget for external link

With the Inline form errors module enabled, add a link field to any content type with only external links allowed. Add an invalid url like /example.com and fill in the link text field as well. The error message is displayed 3 times.

What the issue summary didn't mention is that this is only reproducible with the Inline form errors module enabled. Updated the IS.
