Add acbramley as co-maintainer for node module

Created on 2 April 2025, 11 days ago

Problem/Motivation

The Node system currently has no maintainer. At DrupalSouth 2025 we had a BoF session for core sub system maintainers which is where I found that out! Node is arguably one of the most important modules in Drupal core, almost every site uses Nodes.

On March 19th I decided to start looking at the node system issue queue and triage some issues. At that time there were 268 open issues against 11.x

This included pages of issues dating back 5-10 years ago.

As of today that issue count is down to 182. The large majority of these have been closed as either duplicate, outdated, or unable to reproduce but I have been able to get some issues committed:

- πŸ“Œ Deprecate node_mark Active
- πŸ“Œ Consider using the administration theme when editing or creating content by default Active

Now the oldest updated issue in the queue is 8 months 1 week.

While I am still lacking quite a bit of knowledge around the node access grants architecture, I've been able to find many areas of the Node module that need improvement and on top of the issues above, many more issues are now ready for review or RTBC'd https://www.drupal.org/project/issues/search/drupal?project_issue_follow... β†’

Copying from the other issue where I was made a subsystem maintainer of Block Content, I can confirm I have read and understand the following documentation

Proposed resolution

  1. patch/MR to maintainers.txt
  2. review
  3. rtbc
  4. commit
  5. update maintainers on node/3060
