Agreed, but this is a problem in Automatic Updates Extensions, not Drupal CMS per se -- moving to the appropriate issue queue. :)

I updated this since Update & Update Extensions are in fact found under Extend.

Exactly the same observations, but with my "I am a new marketer using Drupal CMS for the first time" hat on.

🐛 "Update" and "Update extensions" displayed under Appearance Active was created first.
