Created on 15 November 2024, 4 months ago

Problem/Motivation

When switching to Yarn 4, a new file came along - .yarn/install-state.gz. According to the Yarn FAQ:

According to https://yarnpkg.com/getting-started/qa:

.yarn/install-state.gz is an optimization file that you shouldn't ever have to commit. It simply stores the exact state of your project so that the next commands can boot without having to resolve your workspaces all over again.

Proposed resolution

1. Remove .yarn/install-state.gz from the repo

2. Add to the .gitignore so it doesn't re-appear
