Drupal 10 compatibility fixes

Drupal 9 EOL is close, are there any maintainer plans for D10 compatibility?

Alright, I only adjusted the core_version_requirement for the submodule, Everything else committed in this issues 8.x-1.x branch looks fine! Although the changes will introduce a bunch of phpcs issues, but since the module already has loads of phpcs issues, I'd say, we ignore that and tackle it in a separate issue.

I'm going to release a new major version for this module, based on the changes that you already provided! Thank you for your work here!

Please note that tag 8.x-1.4 is already based on branch 2.0.x, this is wrong, so I'm going to fix this by tagging the correct branch versions and releasing a new major 2.0.x version.

This is all going to be done today, I'll update this once it's released.
