Was able to reproduce the bug, verified and tested this patch on Drupal:10.1.x and the patch solves the issue and removes path alias with workspaces enabled.

I manually tested this, and I think it has an unintended consequence as follows:
* Install umami
* Enable workspaces
* Switch to stage workspace
* Edit some content that is published in the live workspace and remove the url alias
* Don't publish the changes in the stage workspace
* Switch back to the live workspace
* Notice that the alias change from above is already live, the alias was deleted by work in the stage workspace, even though the changes weren't promoted from the stage workspace
