Offering to co-maintain Adminimal Admin Toolbar

Problem/Motivation

I would like to become a co-maintainer of this module to merge the Drupal 10 compatibility patch along with any appropriate RTBC issues and create a D10-compatible release. My experience with Drupal is limited and this project looks like a good candidate by first-time maintainers. I hope that you agree!

Proposed resolution

Review my profile and, if approved, add me as co-maintainer with appropriate permissions to merge code, manage issues, and create releases.

Remaining tasks

Add Alfonso Gรณmez-Arzola as co-maintainer of Adminimal Admin Toolbar.

@agarzola It's been more than 2 weeks so you can move this request if you still want to pursue this.

Since this project is covered by the security advisory policy, drupal.org site moderators will not add as co-maintainers users who cannot opt projects into security advisory policy.

Ahโ€ฆ we are discussing a similar situation in Slack. We are trying to pair up people so they have a mentor with security rights.

I would love to offer my time as I love Adminimal on all my projects.
I can opt into security advisory policy and also have already multiple own and co-maintained contrib modules as a background.

@florianmuellerCH You need to create a new issue, if you are offering to maintain/co-maintain this project.

    Thanks, @Kristen Pol, @apaderno, and @florianmuellerCH.

Since this project is covered by the security advisory policy, drupal.org site moderators will not add as co-maintainers users who cannot opt projects into security advisory policy.

We are trying to pair up people so they have a mentor with security rights.

It sounds like policy would dictate that I cannot be added as a co-maintainer, the reasons for which I think are entirely understandable. But Kristenโ€™s comment sounds like an exception might be made for folks seeking mentorship? If thatโ€™s not the case, then should I close this issue?

Site moderators do not add as co-maintainer/maintainer a user who cannot opt projects into security advisory coverage, even when a project is already covered by the security advisory policy. That does not mean the project owner or another maintainer (or co-maintainer with the permission to add co-maintainers/maintainers) could add as co-maintainer/maintainer a user who cannot opt projects into security advisory coverage.

There is no exception for who is added as co-maintainer/maintainer from site moderators. What Kristen Pol describes does not seen an exception either.

Thanks for your reply, @apaderno. If I understand correctly, it sounds like @energee โ€”the only maintainer of this module at the momentโ€” to decide whether to add me as a co-maintainer. I cannot assign this ticket to him, so what are next steps here?

I am interested in having this module ready for d10 also. I emailed @energee. Hopefully he sees my message soon.

Hi there, I'm also able to opt into security advisory policy, and willing to give a little bit of my time to update this projet.
I'm sad to see that I might have to remove it from all our projects if it does not get a proper update for Drupal 10 :(
