The following issue is based on
β¨
Display which role is the 'Administrator role' on /admin/people/roles
Active
which suggested to indicate the Administrator
role on /admin/people/roles
. When we (@rocketeerbkw and me - please add him to the issue credits) investigated to further improve
π
Prevent accidental lockouts on the Role settings page and clarify the corresponding description for its select box
Active
and we've agreed indicating/labelling the Administrator
role/s on /admin/people/roles
is the right choice. But there is one place that pattern is even more important. The user edit page currently has no indication which role is an administration role neither.
From a security and user administration perspective it should be clear and transparent which role/s is the administrator role out of the list of available roles. For example the active administration role in the screenshot is the Content editor
role.
- Go to a user edit page, for example user/1/edit
- Try to figure out which role or roles is/are the administration role/s
More difficult variant:
- Go to admin/people/role-settings
and change.from Administrator to Content Editor
- Go to a user edit page, for example user/1/edit
- Try to figure out which role or roles is/are the administration role/s
