Problem/Motivation

Currently the module doesn't support Layout Builder pages and inline blocks

Steps to reproduce

  1. Create a content type with no fields.
  2. Add inline blocks to the layout
  3. Fill out and save the yoast_seo description.
  4. The yoast_seo preview window will still show "na"

It's likely this issue predates Contrib.social: some issue and comment data are missing.

We are having the exact issue. I am writing this comment to increase a bit the awareness of this issue. It would be nice to have it fixed.

Has anyone found a solution or at least a workaround for that case?
    Any suggestions could be useful.

From the top of my head, the SEO score calculation is performed only on the main body of a node and shown real time above that field. But it should be performed on fully rendered page display IMHO and that would require massive rework of the module. So no solution here.

Just scanned the code of the module real quick and indeed this module would need a good portion of rewrites in order to work with Layout Builder.

The 1.x version takes a specific field.
Could we do the same and allow for the selection of blocks with text to be analyzed?

On a project I was working on, we ended up using Yoast Analysis β†’ module instead to take Layout Builder into account. This worked perfectly.
