Media Library Paging Not Working as Expected when Sorting by Changed Date

Problem/Motivation

The Media Library (/admin/content/media) is *sometimes* showing duplicated pages. For instance: If I have sorted by "Updated", and am on page 39, then click page 40, the results between the pages are identical.

(I do not believe this is related to https://www.drupal.org/project/drupal/issues/3081587 β†’ - though this website is multi-lingual.)

Steps to reproduce

  1. Go to Media Library
  2. Sorted by "Updated" (default)
  3. Visit a later page (in this case, 39), note the contents
  4. Visit next page (in this case, 40), note the contents are identical
  5. Visit next page (in this case, 41), note the contents are offset by 1, but otherwise identical
  6. Visit next page (in this case, 42), note the contents are completely different, and based on IDs, it appears we've skipped items.

When I sort by ID descending, it works as expected.

This MIGHT be a Views problem.

Further information has not been supplied. I tried to replicate the problem on Drupal 10.1.x, standard install with 2000 devel generated audio files and I could not.

If you are experiencing this problem on a supported version of Drupal reopen the issue, by setting the status to 'Active', and provide complete steps to reproduce the issue β†’ (starting from "Install Drupal core").

    Thanks!
