Add a hook_requirements() item and documentation piece to promote use of the Token OR module → for sites that need more flexible tokens for their meta tags.
Hi, currently you can insert a comma separed list of tokens. All will be printed if not empty.
My usecase is to print a field value when available OR another if the first is empty.
Would be possible to add this feature? Or what could be the best strategy to accomplish this?

It's likely this issue predates Contrib.social: some issue and comment data are missing.
If there are changes you'd like to see in the Token Or module please take it up with that project, Metatag won't be getting involved in custom token logic when there are other solutions available.
