Problem/Motivation

The option to include deleted fields, 'include_deleted' , is not documented. See \Drupal\field\FieldConfigStorage::loadByProperties and \Drupal\field\FieldStorageConfigStorage::loadByProperties

    field_read_fields() was deprecated and replaced by entity_load_multiple_by_properties() which was deprecated and replaced by entity type storage's loadByProperties() which is documented. I read the docs on the field_read_fields() and entity_load_multiple_by_properties() and I don't think anything of significance is missing. If improvements are needed then open a new issue. Thanks.
