Since ✨ Move Examples Project into Drupal core Closed: won't fix is a won't fix I am setting this to the same status.
I cooked up some code for my own testing during #2113701: ConfigTranslationFormBase should implement BaseFormIdInterface → , but in the end it was more like an example hook implementation than a test module. On the other hand we generally don't document specific form alters in that way.

(Drupal 8 Multilingual Initiative) is the tag used by the multilingual initiative to mark core issues (and some contributed module issues). For versions other than Drupal 8, use the i18n (Internationalization) tag on issues which involve or affect multilingual / multinational support. That is preferred over Translation.
