Closing as a duplicate, and moved credit over to 🐛 Reordering taxonomy terms after "Reset to alphabetical" yields incorrect results upon save Needs work . It is a later issue but there has been recent work over there.

- click 'Show row weights' after creating some term ( all weights are '0' )
- set the weight of one term
- click save
now the items are not sort as they are supposed to.
Using the normal 'drag to re-order' works fine.
tested in firefox 3.6.10 and chrome 8.0.552.0 dev
issue occurs only when the weights of multiple terms are '0'
