I reached a recently active maintainer, @bceyssens, via LinkedIn, but he could not make the change or set me as the project's maintainer.

These offers need to stay in the project queue at least for 14 days, even if the offer comes from a co-maintainer.
There are four people who can act on those offers. - 🇺🇦Ukraine voleger Ukraine, Rivne
I'm still interested in maintaining the project.

All the maintainers logged in at least once in the past 12 months. I will contact them in an hour and 40 minutes, less or more.

This is the message I sent to coltrane.
Hello Ben,
I am contacting you because Oleh ( https://www.drupal.org/u/voleger → ), who is already co-maintainer, offered to become maintainer for Queue UI ( https://www.drupal.org/project/queue_ui → ), a project you created for which you are project owner and maintainer.
May you post a comment on https://www.drupal.org/project/projectownership/issues/3492436 💬 Offering to maintain Queue UI Active about accepting or declining the offer? Please do not reply via email; we need a reply on the offer issue.
Without a comment posted on that issue in the next 14 days, Oleh will be probably made maintainer.Project moderators will not remove the existing maintainers/co-maintainers; the project owner will not be replaced either. Maintainers cannot change the project owner; co-maintainers/maintainers can only be removed/added by people who have the permission to administer co-maintainers/maintainers.
As last note: This offer is about being maintainer, which for us means somebody with all the drupal.org permissions on the project: Write to VCS, Edit project, Administer maintainers, Maintain issues, Administer releases. A person who does not have all those permissions is a co-maintainer.
If there is any reason for not giving all those permissions, please explain that on https://www.drupal.org/project/projectownership/issues/3492436 💬 Offering to maintain Queue UI Active .I am contacting all the people who can administer co-maintainers/maintainers for the project.
Best regards,
Alberto Paderno

The status has been changed because we are waiting for a reply.
Please post a comment after 14 days, if your offer has not been declined. It will show you are still interested in maintaining this project and it will serve as reminder an action is required for this offer. - 🇬🇧United Kingdom tsphethean
I'm happy for Oleh to become a maintainer. I'm still interested in this project but no longer have capacity to actively maintain it.

Hi @tsphethean
I have a plan for implementing upcoming feature requests, but as this will introduce changes in access and UI, they must be included in a new major release. Before that, I must have enough permissions to manage repository settings and update the default branch when needed.
As you have the `administer maintainers` permission for `queue_ui` project, can you grant me the `administer maintainers` permission as well?

I'm still interested in maintaining the project.
Can I be granted an ' administer maintainers ' role once we already have +1 from one of the maintainers and 14 days have passed since a response?
- 🇮🇹Italy apaderno Brescia, 🇮🇹
There is no need to wait for 15 days more: A maintainer agreed to make you a maintainer, which means having all the permissions on the project. I added the missing permission.
