- Issue created by @Schoenef

I contacted all current maintainers for accepting me as o-maintainer.
- 🇩🇪Germany zany
I contributed to needed compatibility patches that need to be integrated for proper D10 support.
I second this application for co-maintainership.

I contacted again the whole team via the drupal contact form. @zany, if you are on facebook or twitter, maybe it is worth a shot there as well? Some of them have social links in their profile. Personally Im not on either and can not contact them there.

A yes, no answer whatsoever so far. I'll move this issue to the Drupal.org project ownership issue queue on friday.

Hello dear Drupal.org project ownership team,
the current maintainers of this project appear all to have left, and they have not responded within 2 weeks. I contacted them multiple times via the drupal.org contact form. In order to avoid further delays, I would like to raise my offer from co-maintain to maintain at the same time.
The link to the project is this: https://www.drupal.org/project/views_xml_backend →
If you can see, that the current maintainers have not logged in to drupal.org for a long time, I would appreaciate if you could start the process maybe now instead of waiting two more weeks?
Thx a lot!
Andreas - 🇩🇪Germany zany
I tried to contact some of the current maintainers by different channels, but couldn't get any response.

These offers need to first be created on the project issue queue, even when the person asking for more permissions is already co-maintainer. As per Offering to become a project owner, maintainer, or co-maintainer → , they can be moved in the Drupal.org project ownership queue → , 14 days after the offer was posted/moved in the project queue, if the offer has not been declined from other maintainers (including the project owner).
Remember to provide a link for the project page, in that case. - 🇩🇪Germany Schoenef Unna
Hi @avpaderno, you mean that we have to wait 2 more days before moving the issue? Or did we overlook some step in the process?
Thx a lot for a short feedback!

Alright, will do. The `Open Ownership Pledge` Tag is not required? I've read somewhere, that it should be added.

It is used for issues where project maintainers are looking for new maintainers for their own projects.

Only two maintainers never logged in in the past four years. The other maintainers logged in at least once in the last 12 months.

dear Drupal.org project ownership team,
the current maintainers of this project appear all to have left, and they have not responded within 2 weeks. I contacted them multiple times via the drupal.org contact form. In order to keep the project usable, zany and myself would like to offer maintainership for this project.

Thx a lot!

This is the message I sent to rjjakes.
Hello rjjakes,
I am contacting you because Andreas ( https://www.drupal.org/u/schoenef → ) offered to become maintainer for Views XML Backend ( https://www.drupal.org/project/views_xml_backend → ), a project for which you are maintainer.
May you post a comment on https://www.drupal.org/project/projectownership/issues/3478213 💬 Support in Maintenance Active about accepting or declining the offer? Please do not reply via email; we need a reply on the offer issue.
Without a comment posted on that issue in the next 14 days, Andreas will be probably made maintainer.Project moderators will not remove the existing maintainers/co-maintainers; the project owner will not be replaced either. Maintainers cannot change the project owner; co-maintainers/maintainers can only be removed/added by people who have the permission to administer co-maintainers/maintainers.
As last note: This offer is about being maintainer, which for us means somebody with all the drupal.org permissions on the project: Write to VCS, Edit project, Administer maintainers, Maintain issues, Administer releases. A person who does not have all those permissions is a co-maintainer.
If there is any reason for not giving Andreas all those permissions, please explain that on https://www.drupal.org/project/projectownership/issues/3478213 💬 Support in Maintenance Active .I am contacting all the people who can administer co-maintainers/maintainers for the project.
Best regards,
Alberto Paderno

Please post a comment after 14 days, if your offer has not been declined. It will show you are still interested in maintaining this project and it will serve as reminder an action is required for this offer. - 🇩🇪Germany Schoenef Unna
Hello dear Drupal.org Project Owbership Team,
I'm still interested in offering my help to maintain this project.
It would be great, if it could happen now.
Thx a lot!
