As per the charter :

The Board will be composed of seven members, four appointed and three elected. Board members will serve two-year terms with a limit of two consecutive terms served. After four years of service, board members will be required to take at least one year off before being eligible for another term. Board member terms will be offset so that no more than four members turn over per year, and each year will have a mix of elected and appointed members turning over.

The following members terms are expiring this year:

  • Leslie Glynn (second term)
  • Avi Schwab (second term)

We have also had an additional seat vacated:

  • Bert Boerland

Nominations are now open for members to fill the three seats on the EOWG board. We encourage prospective members to review the EOWG Mission and Charter .

Eligibility

As per a decision by the board, eligibility requirements have been waived for this election.

Expected time commitment:

Board members are expected to attend or remotely contribute to all board meetings during their tenure and are expected to dedicate time toward leading initiatives. Members are expected to dedicate at least two hours per month toward these activities.

  • 1 hour monthly Board meeting (Zoom).
  • 1 hour monthly EOWG public Slack meeting.
  • Initiative work at your prerogative.

I would like to self nominate as Lead Organizer for MidCamp and Intern Coordinator for Drupal 4 Gov. I am seeking to be further involved with helping to facilitate and steer the EOWG to help grow attendance by building local outreach and marketing programs and introduce newcomers via existing programs like the IXP Fellowship and modeling off of successful Internship programs and community partnerships like that is being done over at Drupal 4 Gov.

I am willing and able to dedicate 5+ hours per month to this role.
