[META] Track 18: Proposal for analytics

Summary

We would like to consider including a recipe for gathering website analytics in Starshot. This would be an optional recipe that users could apply.

This track is to do an assessment and propose a recipe for the inclusion of an analytics solution.

Work to be done

  • Analyze Drupal's current capabilities and identify gaps compared to alternatives solutions
  • Research and document industry best practices
  • Map identified best practices and gaps to a recipe proposal, without implementing it
  • Evaluate the feasibility of creating a recipe
  • Propose the recipe proposal to the Starshot Leadership Team; the leadership team will them decide on whether to go forward with the implementation

Out of scope

For now, the scope is to produce the proposal only, not to develop the recipe.

Target milestone

TBC, potentially the target for proposals will be in advance of Barcelona so the decisions can be made before the conference.
