Drupal Pune Meetup - April 27, 2024

  • We started with a couple of ad-hoc BoFs including:
    • AI Tools for Personal Productivity
    • Seeking freelance opportunities in Drupal
      • People shared their experiences and suggestions.
  • Ruturaj Chaubey → presented a session on "Transform API + Decoupled Drupal Layouts"
    • We discussed use of Transform API providing the site builders the ability to create custom endpoints
    • We discussed the existence/possibility of Transform API integration with OpenAPI module and Swagger UI.
  • There was a BoF about Freelance career opportunities with Drupal where we discussed:
    • What does one require to do before deciding on taking on Freelancing.
    • How does one leverage their network to get their first freelancing gig.
  • We had a meeting to discuss updates and future plans/tasks for DrupalCamp Pune 2024. Following are the notes from the meeting.

DCP24 Planning Meeting Notes

Dates:

  • Nikita will announce 19-20 October as meetup dates on Twitter/LinkedIn/Slack/etc.

Venue:

  • Asmita will try to find a venue in the next 15 days. If no alternatives are found, she'll reach out to Rahul to finalize YASHADA.

Venue Requirements:

  • 1 Audi + 2 classes (44000 + 30000 in Yashada)
    • Tentative plan:
      • 2 workshops in Audi
        • We also discussed the possibility of separate tickets for workshops. TBD.
      • Session in classes

Sponsorships:

  • We will spend next month reaching out the past sponsors to collect their feedback and ROI expectations.
    • Dipak will coordinate with Nikita to plan this.
  • Timeline:
    • ROI expectations & feedback: Until the next meetup
    • Sponsorship reach-out for DCP24: After next meetup

Budgeting & Finance:

  • Rahul volunteered to lead the finance team.
  • Rahul will decide the price of tickets before the next meetups.
  • Rahul will present the budget in the next meetup.

Marketing:

  • Nikita is preparing the content calendar
    • The calendar will have post ideas and planned dates.
  • Dipak will share credentials for camp@drupalpune.in mail details with the marketing team

DCP24 Infra:

  • Dipak will explore solutions for credential sharing
  • Dipak will add DMARC record for drupalpune.in

Website:

  • Abhisek will explore the event profile and reach out to Asmita and Pankaj for help

Design:

  • Vignesh will coordinate with the marketing team to find volunteers for the design team.
  • Future task for the design team:
    • Finalize tooling in such a way that assets can be exported to CDR for prints.

MISC action items:

  • Nikita will announce DCP24 dates on social
  • Vignesh will set up a check-in call on Thursday of the second week of every month
  • Dipak will organize async check-in every Wednesday on Slack in #pune
  • Piyuesh will reach out to potential Keynote speakers.
  • Piyuesh will reach out to QED42 to reach out to more potential keynote speakers
  • Dipak will post in #pune for Drupal Pune mascot suggestions
  • Dipak will post the summary of meetup on drupal.org and share the link in the #pune channel
  • Dipak will create the next month's meetup events on drupal.org & meetup.com.

  • Abhisek will reach out to Pankaj from MiniOrange to get update on possiblity of MiniOrange hosting the meetup.
  • Abhisek will, in parallel, try to find out a venue by 4th May.
  • If no alternative found, book Groots on 4th May.
