In Gutenberg 3, some default style was removed from the core library, especially style regarding alignments, so themes can have a better control of the style.
We created a Gutenberg Starter theme ( https://www.drupal.org/project/gutenberg_starter β ) to be used as reference in terms of CSS and Gutenberg configuration. We will provide a full changelog when launching version 3 stable but here's a list of the main features that are coming:
- Dimensions: Margins, paddings, block spacing now can be controlled for each block.
- Content blocks: Ability to create any Drupal content block in the editor.
- Patterns: Better UI when browsing patterns. Users now can create two types of patterns: Synced - formerly known as Reusable Blocks and Non-synced - can be independently edited.
- New variations for core Group block: Rows and Stack
- Overall better editing experience
- Several improvements regarding accessibilityThe core Gutenberg library will be upgraded from 10.7.0 to 16.7.0 which also means a lot of bug fixes π
- Status changed to Fixed
