MaxLength counter stops working after a multivalue field's values are dragged to be reordered

Problem/Motivation

I have a Text (formatted, long) field that is muti-value.
All work when I add/remove a value from the multi-value field but when I drag to re-order the value that value's maxlength stops working.
I attached two images to see the problem

Steps to reproduce

  1. In a multi-value field add max length feature
  2. Create/edit any content with that value
  3. After you added at least two values you may drag to see the error
  4. After saving the content the max length for each value works normally again

Versions I have:

  • Drupal 10.2.3
  • Gin is the admin theme
  • CKEditor5

      Hi alvarito75,

      Thank you for reporting this bug. While it is a frustrating one, I do not believe it meets the threshold of a major issue. See the Major bug criteria → for more info.

      For example, there is a workaround here by reordering the field's values, saving the form and then editing the form again.

      That said, this is still important to resolve and welcome any community contributions to fix it.

      For me this seems to be a similar issue to the one with text formats.
