Looking at this: https://github.com/jquery/jquery/pull/4364/files#diff-48c9573155f13d2543... this seems to be the correct replacement.

The only other occurrence I could find is in core/assets/vendor/jquery-form/src/jquery.form.js, which isn't our code.

jQuery 4 won't be backported to 10.2 so not worth backporting this either.
