Issue with adding new content

I am encountering an issue when adding new content.

Steps Reproduce:

1. Installed the enabled module using Composer with the command: composer require 'drupal/doi_field:^1.0'.

2: Add DOI field inside of content type.

3: add content within which DOI field was added, After save the content it throws a warnings

Warning: Attempt to read property "author" on array in Drupal\doi_field\Plugin\Field\FieldFormatter\DoiFieldFormatter->getInfo()

Warning: foreach() argument must be of type array|object, null given in Drupal\doi_field\Plugin\Field\FieldFormatter\DoiFieldFormatter->formatAuthors()

I've attached an image illustrating my actions—installing the module and searching within the extended panel.
