@see 🐛 Entity Reference Views Limit not working Needs work
When using a Entity Reference field to select nodes, it does not respect the results limit set in views.
1) Create a view with a Entity Reference source and limit the results to let say 10 items
2) load this view with the "Entity checkboxes" element.
Expecation
Show only 10 results
Reallity: Shows all the results.
Closed: duplicate
