+1 on this, makes sense. Another option would be having a submodule to allow defining custom attributes? @larowlan, what do you think might make sense?

Hey, you can define custom attributes with a mymodule.link_attributes.yml file
Please see the module documentation β for more info.
I don't want to add any more to the module itself.

@thomas.frobieter I'm thinking about drowl_link_attributes or drowl_util_link_attributes. Might not be the last time, we need it. Or does integration into one of our modules make any sense?
We should discuss this somewhere else, but if we release it to contrib, we'll leave a note here. I guess it will be custom.
