Error when upgrading from 3.5 to 5.0.8

Problem/Motivation

When upgrading from charts 3.5 to 5.0.8, I get this error:
Drupal\Component\Plugin\Exception\PluginNotFoundException: The "" plugin does not exist. Valid plugin IDs for Drupal\charts\TypeManager are: area, bar, bubble, column, donut, gauge, line, pie, scatter, spline in Drupal\Core\Plugin\DefaultPluginManager->doGetDefinition() (line 53 of core/lib/Drupal/Component/Plugin/Discovery/DiscoveryTrait.php)

Thank you for reporting. Can you let me know a little more about how you are using charts in your site so I can more easily replicate the error? For example, are you using the Charts Blocks module?

We are using the charts blocks module with a variety of chart types that are being placed via layout builder.
