AFAIK it's not possible to change the package name on Drupal.org
I suggest giving the module its original name from drupal.org instead of notifications_widget.
First of great module. It have great features and possibilities on multi user environment. Then,
Can the package name of the module changed to notifications_widget? When we install the module from the project page
composer require 'drupal/notificationswidget:^2.0@alpha', we assume that the project name is notificationswidget. But its actually notifications_widget.
