@vensires thank you very much for the sandbox module. I think it's much more specific to the comment area and adds useful functionality.
I came across these two commerce issues, which seem related to your module, and think you should link them on your module page:

Perhaps you'd even like to include more of the requested features regarding commerce comments to your module as a proof of concept for these issues?

I will take them into great consideration!I already had this solution implemented for our D7 Commerce websites but I had never thought of publishing it as a Drupal module as I have done for other functionalities.
