I have a plan to migrate from Ubercart 6 to Drupal Commerce 2 in which in Ubercart 6, there is an order comment (or log / message). One comment is to show to customer, another is internal comment for admin only. In Ubercart 6 also allow us to choose to email that message or status to our customer to let our customers know the status update for the order.
Try to find how to do it in Drupal Commerce 2 but the closest I can find is

which is allow us to add only Admin comment, nothing about Customer comment and nothing about email. The last patch #128 in that link provided what I would like it to have but I'm not sure that is the only method.
I also tested with a few other software :
- Prestashop
- Magento
- Opencart
All of them has this ability right after installation.
My question is as of now, the patch #128 is the only way to do it or is there is any other way?
