Use "2.x" as the default git branch instead of the unsupported "8.x-1.x" branch

Problem/Motivation

Currently, inside Gitlab the default branch is set to "8.x-1.x". As this version is not officially supported any more and there is a newer "2.x" branch, the 2.x branch should be set as the default branch instead.

Set the "2.x" branch as the default Gitlab branch.
