Allow setting a custom user form (or path) to redirect new users to

Created on 16 May 2023, over 1 year ago

Problem/Motivation

In the Social Auth Settings of each implementer there is the checkbox "Redirect new users to Drupal user form", but the new user wouldn't know the automatically generated password required to edit that (default) user form.

Since we already can create custom form modes from the UI in core, and contrib modules like Profile or Form Mode Control already provide the routes to those forms, I propose we allow chosing any User form mode to redirect to when that option is checked, or a custom (any) path for even more flexibility: this would be a complimentary/special case of the already available option "Post login path" but for redirecting after registration.

This way, the form to which the new user will be redirected would be normally editable by her, without hacking core's user module, and effectively solving some usecases of the related issue.
