I have tested your merge request on my local system and it's working fine as per the requirement on Drupal 10.Verified and tested Patch Comment #7 on Drupal 10.1.x

Steps that I have taken:
1: git clone https://git.drupalcode.org/project/color.git on Drupal 10
2: git remote add color-3353337 https://git.drupalcode.org/issue/color-3353337.git
3: git fetch color-3353337
4: installed module.
5: Gone to Appearance/themes.
6: Theme setting and changed color of theme and it works fine.Thank you.
