Offering to co-maintain Language Switcher

Created on 16 March 2023, over 1 year ago

Hi @SKAUGHT, as our (small) team at DROWL.de uses your wonderful Dropdown Language module in several projects, we'd like to offer our help as co-maintainers to fix issues, write tests and improve the module wherever possible for the future.

We know it's hard for a single maintainer to invest a lot of time into open source project, so this is our offer to help.

If you'd like to accept, please add me and @Grevil as co-maintainer and we'll help to push things forward as soon as possible and in the future. :)

will do. we will have to find a process for releases. i would like to keep control on release certainly i'ld like the time to review myself as well.
kind reminder: i do actually have a day job.. hahah.

also related: yes, πŸ“Œ Write tests Needs work tests would be nice. because flux happens.

Well, you decide as maintainer, but from my experience I can tell you that not having the administer releases permission just leads to waiting for each other and less understanding what's going on.
Releases can be tagged, but not published.

I would recommend not to do it that way, but that's your decision. Of course we could agree on creating an issue for each release and wait until all maintainers or you agrees on the release, but I don't think that will be very helpful. It's just a barrier for getting things done.

Instead tests should ensure nothing breaks, who ever maintains and releases.

Anyway, please release 3.1.3 and 4.0.2 to get the WSOD out ;)

    The tags are already present.

    Thanks!
