coreis not necessary, in this case, sincecore_version_requirementis not changed. It is also the wrong change for a branch that probably should be used from sites to upgrade from Drupal 8 to Drupal 9. - Status changed to Fixed

We do drop the old core: 8.x for the Drupal 10 compatible release.
