[Meta] Stable issue triage

Created on 11 January 2023, over 1 year ago
Updated 9 February 2023, over 1 year ago

Problem/Motivation

The issues in the Stable component need to be triaged and moved to either the Stable contrib project or another component in core.

This issue is to allow people doing the triage to be credit for the triage. This is similar to what is done in the BugSmash Initiative.

Remaining tasks

Issue Triage and move

  1. Find an issue in the Stable component โ†’
  2. Triage the issue to determine if it is to be moved to the Stable contrib project or another core component. This issue and the parent stay in Stable in core.
  3. Explain your reasoning in a comment and move the issue
  4. Then, open this issue and add a comment that contains the link to the issue you just triaged. The comment can just be that link.

When all the relevant issues are moved credit needs to be assigned and this issue can be closed.

Is this issue needed? I know "Stable" is moved to contrib, but we still have "Stable9" in core.

Any issue with closing this one?

Using this URL - https://www.drupal.org/project/issues/search/drupal?project_issue_follow... โ†’ - it looks to me that we have very few issues against the Stable theme.

Those that are there look like they are all relevant to Stable9, so can stay where they are. If that's the case, can we agree that the Stable issue queue is triaged and we can close this issue? This is also the last remaining task for us to be able to mark ๐ŸŒฑ [Meta] Tasks to remove Stable theme from core and move to contrib Fixed as complete.

There is now a component for 'Stable 9 theme' so I moved the relevant issues in your link to there.

That left 3 Stable issues, all at 'Postponed maintainer needs more info'. I took the liberty of moving those as well. At least they all stay together this way. Although, it would be helpful if you could check on those 3 โ†’ .

Not sure this needs to go to RTBC but using the link in the comments to search for any remaining stable themes I didnโ€™t see any.

Moving back as I saw the slack comment for people to post tickets. Whatโ€™s the timeframe for that?

  • ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฟNew Zealand quietone New Zealand

There really isn't a timeframe because credit can be adjusted. I guess I was going to wait 24 hours before closing the remaining Stable issues.

    Fix link in the IS.

There are no issues left in the Stable component.

I left a comment in #frontend and #bugsmash asking for anyone who triaged a Stable issue to let me know. No one answered so hopefully we have everyone included already.

Therefore, I am closing this issue as fixed.
