I've updated the OP with a list of things that need to be done. I think the next step is to get the updated English text reviewed and images spot checked. So setting to needs review for that.

I've reviewed the copy in https://git.drupalcode.org/issue/user_guide-3327235/-/commit/b18ff6a3776... and it looks good to me.

I created a new 10.0.x branch of the changes here and ... yay! π
The 10.0.x branch also includes updated screenshots for each of the translations. But I didn't touch any of the text in the translations. That'll need to be handled by people who know the languages.
The merge squashed the original commits, which makes it kind of hard to review just the text changes. So I'm attaching a patch here that shows the changes that were made to the English source files. This will hopefully be helpful for anyone working on updating the source files for the various translations. And you can see my original commit with the English text changes here https://git.drupalcode.org/issue/user_guide-3327235/-/commit/b18ff6a3776...
I think the next steps are test the build, notify translation teams, and get the content deployed to Drupal.org.

Great work, with updating the book for Drupal 10, thanks!
I just visited the User Guide e-book Downloads β page, and was surprised to see the version was Drupal 9.1.
I am wondering what's holding back the final deployment of the Drupal 10 version, if it's essentially ready to get published? I for one would love to see it :)

Thanks for the reminder. I looked into recreating the ebook files this morning and the toolchain is a bit out of date so it's taken a bit more to figure out. I opened a new issue to track progress on getting the ebook files update though π Update ebook files for Drupal 10 Active .
And I think we can go ahead and close this issue since it's superseded by π Update user Guide content for Drupal 10.2 Active .
